Disagree on this one, Starlink / SpaceX is doing the exact same, and plans to offer data in 2025 to unmodified smart-phones per their website. They can upgrade satellite network faster with lower cost using their own rockets. So not really no competition, more like massive competition by the dominate space and satellite connectivity company
